Hood-Patterson & Dewar brings a unique blend of talent and experience to the industry. Our personnel have backgrounds from utilities, electrical equipment manufacturers, and electrical design firms plus field experience in testing and troubleshooting, with many of our people being registered PEs. Most consulting and commissioning firms have PEs with little hands-on field experience. Most testing firms have field testing experience but little design engineering experience. Because of our experience in both areas, HPD is able to understand the function and operation of each component as well as the overall system design. Because we are not a traditional design firm, our perspective and experience uniquely qualifies us to be truly independent as a commissioning agent, testing firm and consulting firm.
